My Guts Hurt.

Gage Lynch

This one thing I know... Only when you walk with Jesus can pain become your friend.

My Guts Hurt.

There's a pain in my stomach that will not allow me to eat.

There’s a need deep within my soul that only you can meet.

I know you are my Father and know that you care.

Yet there's a pain in my stomach that's too much for me to bear.

My Guts Hurt.

There's a cloud in my mind that causes my head to spin.

There's clarity you'll give me, I just don't know when.

I know you are my Friend and know that you are here.

Yet there's a cloud in my mind that makes things terribly unclear.

My Guts Hurt.

There’s a rainstorm in my days that never seems to cease.

There's a sadness in my heart only you can release.

I know you are my comforter and know that you will be.

Yet there’s a rainstorm in my days that’s like a raging sea.

My Guts Hurt.

There’s a voice in my head, and kind it is to me.

There's a presence, “here I am”, it says, “and here always I will be”.

I know you are that voice, and I know you are my peace.

Yet there's a pain in my stomach, a cloud in my mind, and a rainstorm

in my days, that I trust you to police.
